Every Person Deserves the Gift of Reading
Global Literacy Support brings books, teacher training, and digital tools to underserved communities in 50+ countries.
The Global Literacy Crisis
Millions of people around the world are still waiting for the chance to learn to read and write. Literacy is the foundation of opportunity — yet too many communities are left behind.

Our Approach
We focus on three interconnected pillars to build sustainable literacy worldwide. Every community is different, but these foundations are universal.
📚 Books & Libraries
Distributing culturally relevant books and building small libraries in remote villages where none exist. We prioritize books in local languages so children learn to read in the language they speak at home.
👩🏫 Teacher Training
Equipping educators with proven literacy teaching methods, materials, and ongoing support. A trained teacher reaches hundreds of students over a career.
📱 Digital Access
Providing tablets, offline learning apps, and solar-powered devices for low-connectivity regions. Technology can reach where teachers and schools cannot.
Where We Work
Our programs reach communities across four continents, with headquarters in Mulsanne, France. We partner with local organizations in each region to ensure programs fit the culture and language of the community.
- Sub-Saharan Africa — Rural school libraries
- South Asia — Girls' literacy programs
- Latin America — Indigenous language books
- France — Local volunteer programs
In total, we have worked in 22 countries, from Kenya to Nepal, Guatemala to Cambodia. Every program is designed with local leaders and built to last.

Get InvolvedWhy Literacy Matters
When a child learns to read, they unlock every other subject in school. When an adult learns to read, they gain access to better jobs, better healthcare, and a stronger voice in their community. Literacy breaks cycles of poverty and passes opportunity from one generation to the next.
Yet millions of children grow up without ever holding a book. Millions of adults cannot read a medicine bottle or a job application. This is not because they lack intelligence or desire. It is because they lack access.
Global Literacy Support exists to close that gap. We work directly with local communities to provide the tools, training, and resources that make lasting literacy possible.
